Daily journals
Keep daily journals in Notes with date pages, templates, tasks, and links to related work.
Lattuce Notes includes a first-class journal surface (Logseq-style daily pages).
Use a journal for time-bound capture that may later become a task, question, source clip, or project note. Keep durable explanations in topic notes and link to them from the day rather than turning every daily page into a permanent knowledge base.

Journal chrome shows a week strip, a Today jump, open-task badge, and a daily whiteboard entry.
Template
New days start with:
- My reading plan (checkbox tasks + a Dataview LIST for
#reading) - Notes, Questions, Follow-ups — each seeded with a bullet for outline-first capture
Capture from PDF/source selection appends under Notes as a bullet with a ^block-id so other notes can embed or link to that line.
End-of-day review
- Mark completed tasks and move unfinished work to a dated deadline or project note.
- Turn open questions into links or follow-up tasks.
- Add a short source or paper link to research observations.
- Leave one next action for tomorrow so the home agenda is actionable.
